Argyll Sundowner Mainship 390
This
modern 40 foot flybridge motor cruiser has evolved from the famous
American deepsea fishing trawler. Mainship Corporation Trawlers can
trace their roots back to the 1830s and have put more power cruisers on
the water than any other boatbuilder in the USA.
Her trawler hull cuts through the waves and her two powerful engines
give her a top speed of 17 knots. Cruising at 11 knots brings all of
the west coast islands within easy reach of Oban and her superb on
board facilities make life at sea a pleasure.

There
is a large saloon with tv and video, lower helm station with full
instrumentation and a fully equipped galley (cooker, fridge, freezer,
coffee maker and microwave). From the saloon, a few steps lead down to
the two staterooms offering privacy and space for changing into
beachwear, and generous heads with easy to operate electric flushing
toilet, shower and vanity basin. |

The
saloons full width tempered glass sliding doors lead to a generous
covered aft deck with bathing platform and swimming ladder. From the
aft deck take the staircase (with full handrail and courtesy lights) to
the spectacular flybridge. This is the place to be in good weather with
all round visibility, table and chairs and a fully instrumented centre
helm.
Safety is paramount on this boat and there are high bulwarks,
walkaround decks and numerous handrails throughout the boat. The two
200 hp Volvo Pentas are diesel powered and the area below decks is
protected by automatic fire extinguishers and alarm systems. The boat
carries two six man liferafts, lifejackets, flares, DSC VHF, and meets
all the SCV II safety requirements of the DTI Maritime and Coastguard
Agency. |
